I was saddened by John Edwards’ departure from the race. Ich war traurig, von John Edwards' Ausscheiden aus dem Rennen. I felt he was (to quote an old phrase) “the last, honest man” (or person). Ich fühlte mich war er (Zitat auf eine alte Redewendung) "die letzte, ehrlichen Mann" (oder Person).
Without John in the race, I hope the Democratic Party sticks to being just what it’s called: The Democratic Party. I believe the superdelegates should be responsive to their states’ popular elections and vote according to the popular vote of those states - or wait until their states have voted. With only 26 delegates to his name at the time he “suspended” his campaign for president, it is unlikely that John Edwards will be the final factor that puts Clinton or Obama over the top, but not impossible given how close the candidate count is.
