Jan. 5 - Final entry, and thank you ALL for your courageous support of Senator Biden’s presidential candidacy. If only the Iowa Caucusgoers had heard Sen. Biden’s speech delivered in March, 2007 on the Senate floor:
“It’s about time we have the courage to stand up and say to the president ‘Mr. President, you have not only put us in harm’s way you have harmed us. I’m so tired of hearing on this floor about courage. Have the courage to tell the Administration, ’stop this ridiculous policy you have.’”

Jan. 4: Senator Biden announced that he is withdrawing from the Presidential race Thursday evening. The following statement was released from Representative Jim Ryan, New Hampshire Chair for Biden for President:
“Tonight, we witnessed a great man, a great American, and a great friend of mine fight a proud fight out in Iowa. He didn’t spend millions of dollars, he didn’t throw the mud, and when the dust settles tomorrow, nobody will question Senator Biden’s conviction, nobody will question his passion, nobody will question his experience, and nobody will question his integrity.

Jan. 4: I’m here in the Des Moines headquarters office manning the phones and helping the “tear down” of the office…there is a big green dumpster in front of the office, and several staffers are here, with more on the way. There are Biden yard signs, bumper stickers, precinct lists and tons of paper everywhere…along with cardboard boxes and a host of building facilities and delivery men coming and going…and, of course, the new mandatory office equipment, the shredder!

He will be joined by members of the Biden family as they visit with caucus-goers and supporters.
