Request For Information
I have received a disturbing report of delegate vote buying by one of my political opponents who is also seeking the LP presidential nomination. I request that anyone else with information regarding this unethical activity please contact me immediately.
Thank you,
Christine Smith
Endorsement from Kenneth Kaplan - [Steering Committee Member, NJ Libertarian Party and former candidate for Governor (for identification only, this is a personal endorsement)] - 5-18-2008
If nothing else, Libertarians tend to be independent thinkers, so I doubt whether endorsements carry much weight, but by sharing my impression of my favorite candidate, perhaps some of you might come to the same conclusion.
Looking forward to meeting so many of you in Denver in just a few days…
In this update, Info on Two Debates, My article in Arizona Libertarian, Meet me at Table 17,
and sharing a personal piece I wrote recently regarding my understanding of love (and thereby liberty).
1. TWO DEBATES- There is an informal debate (put together by Jim Burns with help from Ken Moellman of the KY LP) between myself and other LP candidates scheduled Friday night, 8:00 pm, to be held in the Columbine Room (located in the Tower Bldg. of the Sheraton–it’s the building of the Sheraton across the street from Sheraton’s building with lobby). Not sponsored by the LP (but by individuals who wanted the delegates to have an opportunity to hear the presidential candidates debate before they make their decisions and before the CSPAN debate-this debate Friday night will help delegates decide who they want to be in the CSPAN debate. Thus, for those of you who’d like to see a debate in which I and other LP presidential candidates participate, come Friday night. (This is particularly helpful for delegates who haven’t seen all of us in debate, it will help you decide who who want to be in the CSPAN debate). (There is another informal debate Thursday, but I am participating in the Friday evening debate, 8:00 pm, Columbine Room.)
As I was visiting the usual news/discussion websites I enjoy, this afternoon I came across the following article written by a “John Crosley” and entitled, “The Revolution has already Begun,” with a description of “Its time to pick Ron Paul’s successor who can best lead the revolution into the white house in 2008.” It’s an excellent article, written by an obviously strong supporter of liberty (and of Ron Paul).
I highly recommend Mr. Crosley’s article to my newsletter readers, and must say I am most grateful and honored by the conclusion he reaches in his article.
