Dec. 2: Democratic presidential candidate U.S. Sen. Joe Biden received a standing ovation from state Democratic chairs and nationwide members of the Democratic National Committee on Friday afternoon (see video, below) after he delivered a 13 minute speech during the DNC¡¯s Fall Meeting in Falls Church, VA. Over 400 DNC members, along with journalists and TV media, were in the audience to hear the speech.
Senator Biden remarked, ¡°While others talked about change, I build a bipartisan majority to make change happen.¡±

Dec. 1: The Biden for President campaign has announced that the Iowa Veterans For Biden Committee will host a series of community forums on veterans issues across Iowa throughout the month of December. They have also appointed regional committee chairs who will advise Senator Biden on veterans issues.
This event is free and open to the public. On Sunday, December 2 Sen. Biden will join members of Iowa Veterans for Biden for their inaugural community forum at 3:00 p.m. (Central Time) in the Beaverdale VFW Hall in Des Moines. ¡°I am honored to have the support of these men and women who have so nobly served our country,¡± said Sen. Biden. ¡°Together, we will ensure that veterans¡¯ voices are heard in the living rooms of voters here in Iowa and across the country.¡±

Despite sixteen days of attacks, Barack Obama continues to stay strong in Iowa and is rapidly gaining in New Hampshire. Two recent polls indicate that Barack Obama is gaining in on Clinton, shrinking her once double-digit lead in New Hampshire to a seven point margin.
Today, Rasmussen released a poll of likely primary voters in New Hampshire which found Hillary Clinton at 33%, Obama at 27%, and Edwards at 15%.

A new television ad released in Iowa and New Hampshire today features the story of a father who called on Senator Clinton for help when insurance companies refused to pay for life-saving medical treatment for his son.
The new 30-second spot, entitled ¡°Joe Ward,¡± features a New York constituent whose son desperately needed a bone marrow transplant. A call to Senator Clinton¡¯s office would change his son Joel¡¯s life. He was notified the day after he called that his son¡¯s expenses would be absorbed by his local hospital.
