“The RESET Cabinet”

The problems facing our nation and our children are serious. These problems are a result of policies created by the Democrats and Republicans. Therefore, it is irresponsible of us to hinge our future on the assumption that these same people really want change. After all, it’s the “status quo” because those in power want it to be the “status quo.” The 2-party system is destroying our future well-being and it needs to go.

Any changes to the system must come from outside the system. Therefore, regardless of who the candidates are or how long they have been in office, they will be ineffective in bringing about change. The Democrats and Republicans:

  • Are afraid to tackle tough issues because the solutions are not politically popular.
  • Often only address “distraction issues.”
  • Would rather see a program fail than to see their opponents win.
  • “Flip-flop” on issues for political gain while ignoring facts and data.
  • Fail to consider the long-term ramifications of their policies.
  • Won’t support a valid idea from the other party unless it benefits them.
  • Lie outright about the status of situations.
  • Manipulate data and budget projections.
  • Lie and manipulate the media.
  • Often use their positions for personal gain.
  • Are too afraid to admit they were wrong, so they “stay the course.”
  • Are too afraid to change their mind about issues.
  • Live in a separate class that is out-of-touch with the American People.

…and yet we continue to vote for these people!

Resetting our Administration and Cabinet

This message transcends politics. It transcends Conservatives, Liberals, Democrats, and Republicans. It’s about surviving as a nation and as a planet. It’s about getting all disenchanted people together to pursue a common goal. This is why we MUST convince all Americans to only vote for Independent and 3rd party candidates: Individuals who are willing to put honesty and integrity above personal interests, favors, and perks.

In the same vein, it is ludicrous for us to adopt the same organization and Cabinet structure as those of previous Presidential administrations.

The Cabinet positions of the past no longer apply. They are part of the system that caused the situation we have today. Therefore, we will structure a new Cabinet around the areas most affecting our future. We intend to structure our Cabinet around the six areas of sustainability. This new Cabinet will include functional areas that correlate to the six areas. The chart above depicts our cabinet structure and policy objectives.

These Cabinet positions will be filled by our most respected scientists, doctors, diplomats, scholars, and economists to determine our optimal course of action based on accurate data and honest projections.

These Cabinet positions will not be filled in exchange for favors or campaign contributions. Unbelievably, key government posts are held by individuals who lack basic understanding of their assigned fields. And, in many cases, they benefit financially from their title and office at the expense of the people whose interests they swore to protect.

We often think of sustainability just in terms of the environment. Obviously, environmental sustainability is a big concern for our future. However, that does not prevent other areas of concern from ending our way of life, in other words:

  • We will not survive as a Nation without Economic Sustainability.
  • We will not survive as a Civilization without Social Sustainability.
  • We will not survive as a Species without Personal Health and Well-being Sustainability.
  • We will not survive as a Democracy without the Protection of Essential Liberties and Freedoms.
  • We will not survive as a World Leader without Non-aggressive Foreign Policy and Diplomacy.
  • And of course, we will not survive as a Planet without Environmental Sustainability.

RESET America is a Real Plan

This is a real Plan! Let’s face it, our future isn’t pretty.

The problems facing our children are getting worse and growing in number. Our only chance to save our nation and planet is to “reset” our government. RESET America offers a specific road-map to allow us to start implementing real and viable solutions.

The alternative to this plan is “what we have now.” This is not a responsible course-of-action. As parents, friends, and American citizens, we need to consider what the best alternative is for our children and nation. This is our one chance to address these issues before valid solutions disappear forever.
