NJ Rally: Yes We Can
January 11, 2008
Directly after firing up crowd after crowd in New Hampshire, Barack Obama traveled yesterday to Jersey City, New Jersey (a critical Feb. 5th voting state) and was met by the new majority in American politics:

It was buoyant, diverse crowd — a crowd who had heard what the cynics have to say — and had a response. Like so many generations of Americans before them, when this crowd heard that maybe they weren’t supposed to have hope and that in reality they couldn’t come together as a unified front to heal American politics, this crowd responded: yes we can.

Barack Obama moved the entire room to cheers and a standing ovation by articulating what so many Americans believe: the time has come to unify America, and to those who say we can’t get it done, the answer is simple. Yes we can.

Thank you to Akin, a volunteer in New Jersey who has been taking tons of great pictures and making wonderful videos to send in to the campaign on a regular basis.
Every day, the volunteers of this movement are making an incredible contribution (to history!) in documenting the enthusiasm on the ground for Barack Obama — and we want to hear from you! To be seen and heard on the blog, please feel free to contact us at blog@barackobama.com.
And be sure to check out NewJersey.BarackObama.com, who have a great blog of their own up and running, for more on the NJ rally and much more.
