Making history: Your match messages
December 20, 2007
Thousands of you from across the country are joining the movement towards reaching our goal of 500,000 donors before the Iowa caucuses. Here’s what some of you are saying to those who matched your donations.
Corinne from New York:
"We can’t afford a lot – right now we’re single income (the other finishing up college) with two small kids – and this is the first political contribution that either of us has ever made (ever), but it’s a worthy contribution. You’re right – the guy’s the hope for our future."
Steve from Washington State:
"Barack really feels like the real deal. I’m starting to be hopeful for America again. We’re helping Barack make history."
David from Arizona:
"This is also my first campaign contribution. I am donating to Barack and supporting him because I believe in him as a person. I want someone with a fresh, positive perspective for the nation – and someone who won’t be beholden to special interests groups. I am also supporting him over other candidates because other candidates have pursued negative campaigns, which I really find completely unappealing. I am a registered Independent."
Luz in California:
"I believe in change. The only way it can happen is if people participate actively, even if they may not be able to donate much… One by one, we will contribute to change the US with Obama!"
Help us hit 500,000. We can make history.
