Blake Ashby, entrepreneur and small business owner, lives and works in St. Louis, Missouri. Over the past sixteen years he has participated in the startup and operation of several dozen businesses as a consultant, shareholder or principal. While in his early twenties, Blake worked for several Republican office holders or candidates. He co-wrote a book tracing the evolution of Liberalism through the scope of Utopianism with a local candidate for U.S. Congress, and also prepared a report on the City of St. Louis Desegregation Program for Jim Talent, then a member of Missouri’s House of Representatives and now a former U.S. Senator. In 2004, Blake got mad enough at the Republican Party that he ran as a protest candidate in the 2004 Republican Presidential Primaries.
Blake was born in Jacksonville, Florida. Blake had perhaps the single most important advantage in life that any person can have: loving, supportive parents who taught him to treat all people with dignity and respect. His parents are still married, and are soon to celebrate their 45th wedding anniversary. Blake is single, and has never been married
