As a child I grew up in the coalfields of Eastern Kentucky. There were many times that I had to watch my parents make the decision to put food on the table over paying bills. The last 7 years have been some of the toughest years in Kentucky under the Bush administration. Kentucky’s children and working class families have fallen by the wayside and are struggling everyday for even the bare necessities of life. Hillary is a champion for children and the working class and she will not forget Kentucky.

I urge each and every one of you to go to the polls on May 20th and vote for Hillary Clinton for President. Hillary is not going to give up, and she will not give up on Kentucky. Hillary is a fighter and she will fight for you. Continue reading »

Hillary traveled throughout Oregon yesterday and kicked off the day with a roundtable discussion on economic issues with the Mehlbrech family in Junction City. “A lifetime experience…this is a great thing for a small town” said Marv Mehlbrech. Watch a video clip of the Junction City stop.

Following the event, Hillary made a surprise visit to our Salem office where volunteer Terry Green was on the phone with “a voter who was in doubt…[Terry said:] ‘Maybe you’d like to talk to Hillary. She’s just three feet away’…Clinton eagerly accepted the phone and spent about a minute speaking with the unidentified voter. ‘It was electrifying, the warmth she manifested…Sen. CHICAGO, IL—Maryland superdelegate Greg Pecoraro endorsed Senator Barack Obama today, pledging to support Obama at this summer’s Democratic National Convention. Pecoraro’s endorsement brings Obama’s superdelegate total to 295.5. Obama is now 119.5 total delegates from the nomination. 

Pecoraro is a city councilmember in Westminster, Maryland, where he serves as chairman of the Committee on Economic Development and Community Affairs, vice chair of the Finance Committee, and co-chair of the Special Committee on Growth and Annexation. He has also served as an assistant to U.S. Senator Paul Sarbanes and Maryland State Treasurer Lucille Maurer.

TaLisa, of Columbus, OH, delivered 15,000 handwritten postcards to a Kentucky campaign office last night to be distributed to undecided female voters in advance of their Tuesday primary. She hopes the postcards with messages from female supporters across the country will be the extra touch that sways voters.

Since the March 4th Ohio primary, the Columbus-based postcard operation has gathered more than 100,000 postcards written by supporters and delivered them to voters in upcoming primary states. TaLisa and her sister, TaKeysha, started Postcards for Votes to further personalize Barack’s message of change.
